The Local Park

This spring picnic idea is a short walk and it's easy when you're limited for time. The kids have somewhere to play and to them a trip with the family is spectacular, no matter how far you go.

The Zoo

Animals are always a great time. We bought a seasons pass to our Zoo. The kids and I were there spring, summer and fall. To this day they rave about our trips. Remembering, Grandma goofing around on the occasional picnic with us.

The Backyard

With small children, the back yard can be enough. Just to get outside with them and let them run around can change your spirits too.

Use your imagination and make a theme picnic. After all, Alice in Wonderland is a kids favorite and can be improvised easily. You can have fun and save some money this way.

The Bird Sanctuary

The kids love going here. It's usually free and the trails are fabulous. The picnic was always in a different spot. There is always something new to see and get excited about. Don't forget your binoculars!

Your Living Room

We've been known to have a picnic on rainy day. A blanket on the carpet, food and games. Turn the music up loud and dance. You'll remember it for a lifetime. Again, imagination has no limits.

The Amusement Park

These are a little more expensive, but a great idea for a new and exciting place to visit. Sometimes, there is one set up in the parking lot at the local department store. Bring your lunch and don't forget to get some candy floss.

Hiking Trails

Were lucky enough to live close to the mountains. It's fabulous. It's about an hours ride, for a full day of awesome memories. Waterfalls, deer, elk and may be even a bear or moose. Bring your camera and remember to pose next to the raging river scene.
