Weedeater repair

Here we go again, it's weedeater repair season.

Spring has sprung and it's time to cut the grass. First things first, tune up the lawnmower and have a go.

If you emptied the gas mixture out of the weedwacker last fall, or added some fuel stabilizer before winter storage, you probably have it running.

If you are like most people you didn't and you have to pull on that thing until your arm is about to fall off. Still, it won't start.

The weed eater has become the most hated thing within your grass cutting arsenal. Year after year people try to get the darn thing to work, but end up frustrated and angry with the attempt.

Here I'll give you some maintainence tips and advice that has proven tried and true over the years.

The Ultimate Solution To Your Weedeater Repairs

Back in the spring of 2008 we lived on a three acre parcel. I had already completed the first grass cutting of the year, two weeks prior. It was time for the second.

I started on the lawn tractor and my wife was going to do the weed whipping. I didn't get far before she caught up to me and said the weedeater wouldn't start. That was strange because I had it running two weeks ago. It was only a year old and you would think it should be fine. Well, I tried starting it. No way it would go. I did everything to get it to work and nothing!

Frustrated with the machine, I decided to take it to a professional. It took a month to get it back and the repair cost me $142.00.

(To this day I can't figure out why they didn't tell me a new one was on sale for $3.00 more)

Now you can imagine after 6 weeks total, how tall the grass was along the borders of the yard. At least I could do it now and have a decent yard. It worked perfectly. I was so happy.

Well, guess what, two weeks later it wouldn't start. I called the pro's. "Bring it in and we'll have a look, but might take a while as our tech is on holidays." (Go Figure)

I tried everything and I did pull on the thing until my arm felt like it would fall off! Again nothing!

My wife realized my frustration when I calmly took it down and layed it on the gravel driveway. I went back up to the house, got in my pickup and drove down to where I laid the weedeater. I ran over it six times.

Fully satisfied and with a big smile on my face, I went and bought a new one. It has worked perfectly ever since, but I do make sure I maintain it faithfully.
